Need a fire hood?

If the ceiling has a bedroom or other living space above it, or is part of an escape route, building regulations require each speaker to have a fire hood. Hoods also cut sound leaking into the room above. You'll need 4, one per speaker.

Need speaker cable?

Allow about 10m per speaker for a typical run back to the amplifier (4 speakers = 40m). Webro 16/2 LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen) is the right cable for runs in ceilings and walls.

What's in the box

Speaker cable is not included.

Why this pairing works

  • The amp: 125W per channel into 8 ohms, HDMI ARC for your TV, AirPlay 2, a subwoofer output and full Sonos multi-room control, so it groups with any other Sonos speakers in the house.
  • The speakers: 5" Monitor Audio Creator Series speakers with a C-CAM gold dome tweeter: four 8 ohm speakers cover an open-plan space or two rooms on the one amp.
  • Wiring: Wire two speakers to each channel in parallel (all four are 8 ohm, within the amp's rating).
