If the ceiling has a bedroom or other living space above it, or is part of an escape route, building regulations require each speaker to have a fire hood. Hoods also cut sound leaking into the room above.
Allow about 10m per speaker for a typical run back to the amplifier. Webro 16/2 LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen) is the right cable for runs in ceilings and walls.
The SpeakerCraft Profile CRS6 One is a two-way in-ceiling speaker from the Custom Round Series, built around a 6.5" polypropylene cone woofer and a pivoting 1" liquid-cooled silk dome tweeter. With its flangeless appearance, it suits living rooms, kitchens and multi-room installations where a discreet, high-quality ceiling speaker is required.

Installation notes
The speaker requires a round cut-out of 210mm and has an overall diameter of 244-249mm with a mounting depth of 103mm behind the ceiling line, so check joist and ceiling void clearance before installation. Rated at 8 ohms with 100W handling and 92dB sensitivity, it pairs well with standard AV receivers or multi-room amplifiers; when wiring multiple speakers per zone, consider impedance matching to maintain stable loads on the amplifier. An optional Steel Enclosure Back Box (ASM56601, H=356mm W=254mm D=146mm) is available for fire-rated installations, providing a one-hour fire break and up to 10dB of sound suppression between adjacent rooms, and fits all AIM7, CRS6 and 6" WHA models.
