If the ceiling has a bedroom or other living space above it, or is part of an escape route, building regulations require each speaker to have a fire hood. Hoods also cut sound leaking into the room above.
Allow about 10m per speaker for a typical run back to the amplifier. Webro 16/2 LSZH (low smoke, zero halogen) is the right cable for runs in ceilings and walls.
The SpeakerCraft AIM272 Mk3 is a 7" two-way in-ceiling speaker combining a pivoting glass fibre woofer with an aimable ARC tweeter array, designed for precise sound placement across home theatre and whole-home audio installations. Its flangeless, flush-fitting design and advanced dispersion engineering suit living rooms, media rooms and multi-room audio systems where discreet, directable sound is required.

Installation notes
The AIM272 Mk3 requires a round cut-out of 210mm and an overall diameter of 244mm, with a mounting depth of 140mm behind the ceiling, so check joist spacing and ceiling void clearance before installation. The speaker presents an 8 ohm load and should be matched with an amplifier capable of handling its 125W power rating; the magnetic, flangeless grille assembly allows for a neat, minimal-trim finish once fitted.
