Need speaker cable?
Outdoor runs need burial-grade cable. Allow about 10m per speaker for the pair. QED QX16/2 PE has a water and UV resistant jacket and can be buried without conduit.
The KEF Ventura 5 is a compact pair of all-weather outdoor loudspeakers that brings genuine KEF sound quality to patios, gardens, poolsides and boats. It sits between the Ventura 4 and Ventura 6 in size, making it a great choice where you want proper hi-fi sound outside without a bulky cabinet.

Installation notes
Cabinet dimensions are 262 x 197 x 189mm, increasing to 235mm deep with the bracket and knobs fitted, so allow adequate wall clearance. These are passive speakers needing an external amplifier; a two-channel amp or a compact streaming amplifier such as a Sonos Amp or WiiM Amp is a great match, delivering clean power within the speaker's recommended 10-100W range.

Do I need an amplifier?
Yes. These are passive speakers, so they need an amplifier or AV receiver to drive them. They're rated at 6Ω with 10–100W recommended amplifier power. For most rooms a Sonos Amp or WiiM Amp is ideal: each drives a pair and streams from your phone. You can also buy a package with the amp included and save 5%.
How many speakers do I need?
As a rule of thumb: a pair for most bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms up to about 20m², two pairs for large open-plan spaces, and a single stereo speaker (T2 / stereo models) for small rooms like en-suites.
