WiiM CI MOD S Hi-Res Music Streamer
WiiM CI MOD S Hi-Res Music Streamer
The WiiM CI MOD S is a compact, rack-friendly streaming source designed for custom installation projects. Based on the popular WiiM Pro Plus, it delivers Hi-Res audio from a wide range of services to a zone amplifier, making it well suited to multi-room systems where a dedicated streaming source is needed per zone.
Why we like it
- Audiophile-grade AKM AK4493SEQ DAC supporting Hi-Res Audio up to 24-bit/192kHz
- Comprehensive input and output options, including analogue RCA, digital optical and digital coaxial
- Wide service support, including Chromecast, DLNA, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music, Qplay and Roon Ready
- Built-in 10-band graphic and parametric EQ plus room correction for fine-tuned sound
- Integrates with leading control platforms, including Control4, RTI, URC and Josh.ai
Installation notes
The MOD S measures 140 x 140 x 42mm, allowing three units to sit side-by-side on a standard 19-inch rack shelf (rack mount kit supplied separately). It connects to a zone amplifier via analogue RCA or digital optical/coaxial outputs, with a 12V trigger output available for system integration. Power is via USB Type-C, requiring 5V at 1.5A or higher (5V, 2A adapter bundled). As a streaming source rather than a powered amplifier, it is intended to feed a separate zone amplifier driving ceiling, in-wall or other loudspeakers.
