The Monitor Audio CML-BOX is an MDF back box designed to house compatible in-ceiling speakers from the Creator Series, Basics, and All Weather ranges when fitting into open ceiling voids. It is intended for installations where acoustic isolation, fire protection considerations, or sound containment within the ceiling cavity are required, and suits residential and light commercial projects alike.

Installation notes

The CML-BOX is fitted within the ceiling void prior to or during installation of the compatible in-ceiling speaker, with the box sized to accommodate the speaker once the appropriate ring adapter (Medium or Large) is fitted. With all accessories fitted, external dimensions are 850 x 350 x 160mm; without the ring adapters fitted, dimensions are 700 x 350 x 160mm. The unit weighs 7.6kg, so ensure adequate ceiling joist or support structure is available before installation. This is an enclosure/back box only and does not include a driver, so cut-out, overall diameter and amplifier pairing will depend on the specific compatible speaker model being installed into it.
