monitor-audio-c2l-9-inch-in-ceiling-speaker
Monitor Audio C2L 9" In-Ceiling Speaker

The Monitor Audio C2L is a large-format in-ceiling speaker built for rooms that demand serious output and full-range performance, whether that's a spacious living room, open-plan kitchen/diner, or a dedicated home cinema. Its substantial 9" mid-bass driver paired with a 1.25" tweeter means it can deliver deep, authoritative bass and detailed, clear highs even at higher volumes, making it equally at home with music and movie soundtracks.

Why we like it

RST II cone technology reduces distortion for cleaner, more accurate bass and midrange

C-CAM tweeter with UD Waveguide spreads treble evenly across large listening areas

120W RMS continuous handling suits demanding, larger-scale installations

Tri-Grip II fixing system provides a secure, vibration-free mount

Built-in Corner and HF switches let installers fine-tune the sound to the room

Installation notes

The C2L requires a 248mm cut-out and a mounting depth of 99mm, so check loft or ceiling void clearance before fitting. The Quik-Link connector speeds up wiring on multi-speaker installs. Given its power handling, pair the C2L with a robust amplifier such as a multi-channel AV receiver or a higher-powered streaming amp capable of delivering up to 240W per channel for best results; a Sonos Amp or WiiM Amp will work but won't unlock its full potential at higher volumes.

Specifications

System Format

2-Way

Frequency Response (-6dB)

30 Hz - 25 kHz

Nominal Impedance

8 ohm

Minimum Impedance

6.4 ohm @ 15 kHz

Sensitivity

88 dB (2.83Vrms @ 1m)

Maximum Peak SPL

117 dB

Continuous Power Handling

120W RMS

Recommended Amplifier Power

60-240W RMS into 8 ohm

Drive Units

1 x 9" RST II mid-bass driver, 1 x 1.25" C-CAM tweeter

Crossover Frequency

2 kHz

Mounting Depth

99mm

Cut-Out Diameter

248mm

External Dimensions

278 x 278 x 103mm

Weight

2.5kg

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1115/1323/9891/files/p_C2L-MAIN_bad60045-4e57-461b-aea9-79f9a5ffa0cd.jpg?v=1791895612
